Glossary of game theory terms.

Trigger Strategy

A strategy usually applied to repeated prisoner's dilemmas in which a player begins by cooperating but defects to cheating for a predefined period of time as a response to a defection by the opponent (trigger). These may vary from the less harsh Tit for Tat to the severe Grim Trigger Strategy.
